Residence Lennox

The project required the construction of an extension structure that would allow for groups of fifteen handicapped people who have epilepsy. The structure will offer the opportunity to organise activities during the daytime and to manage two small offices.

A wood footbridge passing into the forest traces a sinuous outline between the conifers, mainly pines. The footbridge is detached from the ground to connect with the new building structure.
The project setting has been thought out according to the existing conifers. Therefore, it uses piles respecting the natural undergrowth diversity.

The floor shells and roofing use a structure combining wood and steel and the roof is linked to the floor with fine steel elements. An external window envelop outlines the building, offering to the residents the feeling of being surrounded by the forest.
The sidewalk areas positioned at the ends of the housing is extends and expands the contact with nature.
Two red-color volumes allow for dividing up the spaces according to the requirements, wishes and needs of the working groups.
