Domus Radicalis

A residential policy is completely different from an exclusively building one. In respect of this point of view Metrogramma studio accepted the assignment of Case & Dimore of building a little residential condominium in Bolzano; this is not a simple residential building but a complex which aims to add something new to the usual project of residential apartments especially in terms of quality and comfort of the single residences.
One of the main characteristics of this architectural complex is that of not showing identical, repetitive residential typologies, but instead of offering different residences (despite the little residential intervention) which improve the residential offer: residences with gardens (on the ground floor), one-family villas (on the first floor), loggia apartments (on the third and fourth floor), attics with roof gardens (on the fifth floor).

Each apartment is provided with wide loggia-balconies and terraces on each floor.
Facades are rich of accurate details which give an idea of the inner heterogeneous subdivision. Our project make the best use of the area potentialities by maximizing the allowed cubature as on the PUC, i.e. with a maximum of 3592,68 Mc.

This is with all respects a contemporary building which is harmoniously integrated in the surrounding area.
References to the Italian architecture modernism are evident: Ponti, Caccia, Dominioni, Libera.
All windows are picture or bow windows (Metrogramma-Sogeca patent). The northern facade is characterized by glass walls through which you can recognize stairs and apartment landing; the external covering has been conceived with “Carat” asbestos cement slabs set on a understructure.
The whole complex has been conceived in order to obtain, as a minimum target, the Klimahaus type “b” certificate.
