European conference on Architectural Policies | Re-use architecture
The European Conference on Architectural Policies Re-use architecture will be held online on April 22 and 23. The central theme of this conference will be sustainable urban development and urban renewal focused on various aspects of the use or reuse of urban tissue.
The conference is organized with the aim of gathering experts who, by sharing their experiences, can be an inspiration for future actions on urban renewal and recovery of affected areas, as well as increasing their resilience, and is thematically focused on questions of rehabilitation and revitalization, activation of degraded, abandoned and overlooked areas, reuse of neglected zones or individual structures, as well as their circular management.
Ivan Blasi, curator of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture- Mies van der Rohe Award joins the conference on the session Re-think Architecture with his lecture "Analyzing and awarding architectural transformations", about the Transformation of 530 dwellings - Grand Parc Bordeaux, awarded with the Prize on the last edition of the Award, this Friday 23 April, at 10:00 am.
